Mrs. Rachel Creasy joined Elkin City Schools in 2023 and currently serves as Elkin City Schools’ Chief Finance Officer.

Before joining Elkin City Schools, Mrs. Creasy’s career began in accounting and finance at a local business where she worked in the office to assist in daily operations. While employed she attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. There Mrs. Creasy double-majored in Accounting and Finance. After completion of her undergraduate degrees, she accepted a position at a Fortune 500 company where she worked as an Accountant in the tax department.  During this time, Mrs. Creasy continued her education and obtained her Masters in Business Administration. She is currently working toward her Doctorate in Business Administration. 

Mrs. Creasy states” I am passionate about the pivotal role that sound financial management plays in supporting education initiatives and by aligning financial strategies with the district’s mission, we can ensure that students and faculty receive the resources necessary for a well-rounded and enriching academic experience.  I am privileged to lead a dynamic team committed to ensuring the efficient management of financial resources to support our students and educators.”

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Isaac Creasy, and two sweet dogs, Blue and Halo. While having close bonds and spending time with her family  she also has developed a new family at Elkin. “I am privileged to lead a dynamic team committed to ensuring the efficient management of financial resources to support our students and educators.” expresses Creasy.
