Roof Adjacent to New Elevator

Re: Reroof Elkin High School Boiler Room Roof Adjacent to New Elevator Roof (roof area 640 sq. ft.)


Elkin City Schools is currently accepting bids for the replacement of the roof on the Elkin High School Boiler Room Roof Adjacent to New Elevator located at 334 Elk Spur St., Elkin, NC


The project will consist of furnishing material, labor, equipment, taxes, insurance, permits, etc. to complete the following scope of work: 

  1. Clean existing coated concrete boiler room roof area, approximately 640sqft.
  2. Install 1/8” per foot tapered ISO in corner, recessed area along elevator and trough between ramp & curb to shed water toward asphalt paving.
  3. Install 60mil Fleece backed TPO membrane over existing concrete in beads of low-rise foam adhesive.
  4. Install base flashing and carry adhered membrane up ramp & building walls, terminate with bar & sealant along ramp wall and under existing counter flashing at building wall. Install pitch pocket at existing conduits and field wrap gas line penetration
  5. Shop fabricate clad metal termination angle and drive pin to existing concrete at edge of asphalt paving. Heat weld and seal TPO membrane to clad metal termination.
  6. Provide 2-year contractor’s warranty and 20-year manufacturer’s warranty.

 

EHS Boiler Room Roof

Re: Reroof Elkin High School Boiler Room Roof (roof area 1,255 sq. ft.)


Elkin City Schools is currently accepting bids for the replacement of the roof on the Elkin High School Boiler Room located at 334 Elk Spur St., Elkin, NC

The project will consist of furnishing material, labor, equipment, taxes, insurance, permits, etc. to complete the following scope of work: 

  1. Clean existing coated concrete boiler room roof area, approximately 1,255 sq ft. Remove existing gutter & downspout as needed.
  2. Install 60 mil Fleece backed TPO membrane over existing concrete in beads of low-rise foam adhesive.
  3. Install base flashing and carry adhered membrane up ramp & building walls, terminate with bar & sealant along ramp wall and under existing counter flashing at building wall.
  4. Shop fabricate & install new prefinished 24ga box gutter & downspout. Turn membrane down at gutter, terminate with bar & sealant
  5. Shop fabricate clad metal termination angle and drive pin to existing concrete at edge of asphalt paving. Heat weld and seal TPO membrane to clad metal termination.
  6. Provide 2-year contractor’s warranty.
